About Jeremy Mansfield

Jeremy Mansfield

Jeremy Mansfield started his career while still studying and started working for Capital Radio 604, a Durban based station, in 1985. He was awarded the AA Vita as The Most Promising Young South African Actor in that same year. Later Jeremy joined Talk 702 in 1990 when Capital Radio 604 closed down.

The Rude Awakening was a breakfast show on 94.7 Highveld Radio, which Jeremy hosted between 1997 and 2010. He left in 2010 to focus on other areas of his career. Many South Africans might recognize Jeremy from the educational program, A Word or 2, which he hosted on SABC 2 for ten seasons. Before this he was a presenter on M-Net and Supersport. He was also the voice of Lifer in Toy Story 3, the chatter toy telephone, which spent its life in a toy box at a children’s nursery.

In 2004 Jeremy Mansfield was the only radio personality to make it onto the Top 100 South African Personalities. He ranked at number 53.

Further accomplishments include Chock-a-Block with quick and easy recipes, humorous stories, travel anecdotes and a behind the scenes look at the life of Jeremy and Jacqui. Jeremy has also authored a cook book, which is a laugh-out-loud book that can be enjoyed in other rooms of the home, not just the kitchen. However, most excitingly, Jeremy will even do cooking demonstrations at your event.
